How resilient are you right now?
Hi Reader,
Last week I mentioned a new Resilience Assessment I put together. I want to tell you a little more about it, because I think it can help.
When life gets hard, most of us focus on the storm. The diagnosis, the job, the conflict at home. Those things are real, but most of them are outside our control.
In the P2 Resilience course I use the picture of a sailboat. You can't control the weather. What you can control is how you captain the boat, and that comes down to four things:
- Attention: what you focus on when things go wrong
- Thoughts: how you interpret what happens to you
- Motivation: what keeps you going when it's hard
- Action: what you do about it, and what you let go of
The assessment is 20 questions and takes about three minutes. When you finish, you'll see:
- Your overall resilience score
- Your strongest line, the area that's already working for you
- Your growth edge, the one area to work on first
- One practical thing to try this week
It's free, and there's no wrong score. It's a snapshot of where you are today and a good place to start.
If you've already taken it, thank you. Hit reply and tell me what your growth edge was. I read every one.
