Seven months later, the final post is here

Hi Reader,

Have you ever started a project thinking it would go quicker?

When I started The Flourishing Life series back in April, I intended to put out one post a week. In reality, I worked on it over seven months. But I did stick with it, and the final post went live today.

What started with my personal reflections about a dislike for the phrase "human flourishing" ends with a deeper understanding of how we can each flourish personally, and even more importantly, how we can flourish as a community.

Here's a quick look at the whole series:

  1. Human Flourishing: what the phrase really means, and how it connects to the abundant life Jesus offers.
  2. More Than Happy: why happiness comes and goes, but flourishing runs deeper.
  3. Body, Mind, and the God Who Made Both: caring for your physical and mental health is stewardship, not weak faith.
  4. Living for Something That Outlasts You: the difference between goals and purpose.
  5. The Forgotten Virtue: character is who you are when no one is watching.
  6. You Were Made for This: why close relationships matter more than almost anything else.
  7. When the Bills Are the Problem: financial stability as a real part of flourishing.
  8. The Resilience Factor: how flourishing holds up when life gets hard.
  9. Why Your Church May Be the Most Important Factor: what the research says about faith community.
  10. The Road to Flourishing Starts Where You Are: taking an honest look at where you are and taking the next small step.
